Everyone always sees updates on social media by JZ Social Enterprises and NEXTonSCENE BUT Many of you might not actually know the back story of the founder, JZ. Rather then consistently discussing her own life, Jaclyn Zukerman prefers to make YOUR name KNOWN.
Today we wanted to give some lime light to the Editor in Chief of NEXTonSCENE™ and Founder of JZ Social Enterprises, LLC.
Jaclyn started out in the world of event planning working for family back since the age of 15. Believe it or not, she started walking through the hallways of her high school handing out business cards on her brothers behalf to have him be the go to service for local entertainment for her friends bar/bat mitzvahs.
At the time, Jaclyn did great booking parties, her brother Steven legit wrote JZ checks every time she closed a deal, She felt like a rockstar and knew she was on to something!
That aside after 8 years in the event world with family, She decided to break off and wanted to work outside of family.

Believe it or not, JZ was always working 2-3 jobs at a time whether it was event planning, babysitting, clothing store, or event planning, talent management & babysitting she always made it work.
After the event planning world JZ worked 2.5 years in the Talent Management area at Interface in the promotions department. JZ placed babies to 80 year olds on Broadway, in movies, tv shows, commercials, print ads to name a few...
<-----The most rewarding placement she had ever done was placing one of her clients on Kinky Boots on Broadway and got written up about in national interface booklet to all the clients and staff that came out monthly.
After Interface closed, Jaclyn relocated to Boston, MA and within 24 hours upon relocation landed assistant stylist job on Top Chef Season 12 as Padma Lakshmi's assistant stylist, thanks to one of the fabulous Producers, Allison Klein.
Jaclyn got to really have fun with Padma's wardrobe she also really got to get to know Padma, head stylist Albert, her daughter and the other head chefs and crew on the show. She also got her few minutes to connect with one of her biggest icons, Andy Cohen!
Once top chef ended, all the talent and crew went back to New York and Los Angeles and Jaclyn was out of a job. This is when she discovered networking for the first time!
"When I first went out I was completely anxious and didn't want to do it, I had to recruit my boyfriend to go with me."
For the girl who was never shy, she became fearful of one of her biggest strengths, meeting new people!
Low and behold she connected to her now mentor, Jeffrey DeSocio who has been nothing but a fabulous best friend to JZ. (Photo below)

He really believed in her from day 1, he helped her start up a radio show at the UR Business network and got her into a field and passion she knew she wanted to pursue further!
After getting some experience at the radio station, Jaclyn couldn't continue without income.
She decided to teach herself how to learn to do production and build her own station.

Took a few weeks but after a bunch of Youtube videos and online research, Jaclyn got it down pat and launched "The Social Scene with JZ" podcast from her closet! (Yes, her clothing closet :) )
Since the launch Jaclyn started to take on some really amazing clients to be showcased from the founder of Jellybelly jellybeans, the Director of Baseball operations for the Cleveland Indians, behind the scenes producers of Total Divas and some reality stars to name a few...

Believe it or not Jaclyn's best advice is to really utilize your social media and put yourself out there, it is how she has gotten to work with so many of these talented and great individuals.
After doing podcasts for about a year Jaclyn took on some amazing clients to do some Public Relations work and Website Building because her clients were really seeing some fabulous results !!
For a period of time, work slowed down and Jaclyn was in a bit of a rut because her quality of placements were lacking when it came to the magazine world. Jaclyn wanted to learn how to deliver good quality print work for her clients. In February of 2016, Jaclyn said she was going to learn how to create a magazine and two months later she did it and delivered!! Not only in digital but in PRINT! It's amazing what you are capable of when you put your mind to something.
Her first issue featured Mark Wahlberg's Private Chef, Lawrence Duran! They connected through IG! Her second issue showcased Celebrity Matchmaker, Amy Laurent and Shark Tank PMS Bites Founder Talia Green. connected with both from Linkedin and Facebook and latest issue for fall, featured , Celebrity makeup artist, Eileen Sandoval who she connected with from Instagram as well!
After Jaclyn threw her first fashion show in September, showcasing 3 amazing up and coming designers and up and coming products in the Boston scene, Jaclyn gave away all of her magazines in print to the public. She is currently at 1k readership per issue.
Her magazine and event took off so well she wanted to protect her brand and her rights so she trademarked and incorporated in October 2016 to NEXTonSCENE™ for the magazine & radio and made JZ Social Enterprises and LLC.
Currently, JZ is working on her first issue of NEXTonSCENE™ LIVE this December and planning a super fun holiday event! You can also find JZ working part time working as the Administrative Assistant at the Everett Chamber of Commerce, Hosting monthly events with Mass Professional Networking and working on side with the Law Office of Paul A.
