We were super excited to connect with Elaine via instagram! This #GIRLBOSS interviews ladybosses WORLDWIDE!

We had the fabulous opportunity to interview Elaine to learn more about her blog and how she got started!

How did ladyboss blogger come about?

"It had just spontaneously moved from Chicago to Central America to be with my fiancé and had nothing lined up. It wasn’t the smoothest of transitions, in fact it was quite a big transition leaving my entire life, job and all my friends behind, so I started my blog to find purpose again. I thought to myself, “What do I want to do?” And the answer was “To become a female entrepreneur” so I started interviewing entrepreneurs to learn from them and that is how I learned to become one myself!"

What inspired you to become a #girlboss?

"I never knew that being an entrepreneur was a possibility until after college. I started hanging out more in Chicago and met some really cool entrepreneurs who were making tons of money and living the most glamorous and luxurious lifestyles. That is when I saw a glimpse of what I wanted, so I started researching with all my free time on how to become a #girlboss."

Who was the first person you ever interviewed?

What are the goals of lady boss blogger?

"My vision for LadyBossBlogger is to elevate women who are making strides in the entrepreneurial realm. I want it to be a place where ladies come to get featured because it is the thing to do once you start your own business! I also want for it to become a movement where women elevate other women and that become the norm and natural thing to do. To celebrate another’s success doesn't diminish one’s own accomplishments."

Where do you see it going over the next year and what are some goals you have for it?

"I know in order to grow the business I need more people and can’t stay a solopreneur forever. I have started to build a solid team around the company including hiring PR, Sales, Marketing and Social Media interns. If you are interested please apply here. Recently some really awesome applications have been coming in and have added a few people to the team. It is so rewarding for me to see them accomplish their personal goals through the company. For example, Naa Kwaley, one of our recent hires already runs her own fashion business but wants to start her own social media business and is using my platform as her ‘guinea pig’. Mentoring my interns along their own personal goals brings me immense joy!"

How often do you interview lady bosses?

"I usually post at least once if not twice a day to the blog with new interviews. I recently opened up guest posting so that our lady bosses can write about the resources they recommend - so that should be really interesting and exciting!"
