Jeff and our CEO , Jaclyn have been business partners upon Jaclyn's relocation from New York!

Jeff and Jaclyn met networking back in 2014 and since then Jeff has been a fabulous friend and now mentor to Jaclyn. If you are learning how to get the ins and outs of networking, Jeff is YOUR guy for insight!

What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

"I was in corporate America living the typical life of 9-to-5 and was at the tail end of my career as an IT Manager at Staples and I discovered these networking events via the Alumni Center at Northeastern University. I started attending these events and noticed the difference between entrepreneurial professionals and corporate professionals. Entrepreneurs seems happier and more opened minded to trying new things and with change in general. I was thinking, I want to be in that crowd and be associated with open-minded successful entrepreneurs. So in 2008, I started my own business with AIMC Business Solutions and the rest is history."

What is the definition of networking to you?

"Networking is connected with like-minded professionals with the approach of helping others meet their goals and objectives. Networking should not be hard, it should be simply engaging in two-way conversation and building a mutual business and personal relationship with the other professionals I meet along the way."

What made you take the plunge and go out and network?

"I saw how the professional world is changing where you simply cannot rely on corporate America to take care of you. It is actually the opposite, you have to take care of yourself. You are your own CEO. So in order to do that, you need to build your own network of professional contacts. I am driven to meet as many successful professionals as possible and help as many as I can via my products/services and connections."

What was your first networking event?

"My first networking event was in April 2007 at the Alumni Center at Northeastern University. I am still in contact and are good friends with professionals I met at the first event."

What are 3 quick tips you can advise when it comes to networking?

"(1) Always have the approach that you are there to help others

(2) Remember, everyone is there for the same reason, to meet others and build their professional network.

(3) Throw away the sales pitch and make it personal. Always complement others on their success and their business."

Where are good places to go and look up networking events?

"Of course, the Mass Professional Networking group on Facebook and Linkedin. Eventbrite.com, Boston Tweetup and Meetup.com are the best sites to search for events that cater to your interests."

When are your next networking events? How can people get in touch with you?

"We have some amazing events coming up. All events are posted in the Mass Professional Networking groups"
