Well my 2018 rolled in pretty amazing thanks to DesignerShare! If you are looking for an amazing DESIGNER rental for an upcoming special occasion or even for a casual day at the office!? DesignerShare, "Shares The Best Designer Styles For Less."

Overall from ordering the product to receiving and even sending it back, the whole procedure was FLAWLESS, ACCOMMODATING and I for SURE got the pieces exactly when they said I would!

Over the holiday weekend I rented this GORGEOUS Gucci and AMAZING Valentino shoes!

I had the fabulous opportunity of interviewing Co-Founder, Sarah Perkins! Sarah can fill you in on all the deets and you can also see me rocking my stuff out over the weekend below!

So tell me how DesignerShare came about!? "DesignerShare was co-founded by Sarah Perkins and Bill Meyer. Sarah has always loved fashion and enjoyed sharing clothes and accessories with her friends in college; it was a natural bonding process as women have so much pressure put upon them to always be in something new. Bill and Sarah have been family friends for a long time, and decided to come together to take on the sharing economy from a clothing perspective. DesignerShare was incorporated in December 2015 and launched its site in Chicago March 2017—now DS is opening up for nationwide shipping! "

What was the first product that you had available for rent? "We made sure to have about 100 products available for rent when the site launched March 31, from friends and family, including handbags, cocktail dresses

and a few pairs of shoes. We now are closing in on 1,000 items!"

What was the first item you ever rented?

"The first item rented from the site was the Stuart Weitzman silver clutch; a friend wore it to her friend's wedding, and it was the perfect accessory with her dress! The first item I ever personally rented was this gorgeous cobalt blue, strapless Halston Heritage gown with a slit we have on DesignerShare; I wore it to an awards event and felt like a beautiful mermaid! "

We are excited you are shipping outside of Chicago and I was honored to be one of the first in Boston to try the service out! Share where else they are available to be shipped to?

"We are shipping to the continental U.S! Contact our community manager Danielle: danielle@designershare.com to get started as we continue to build the site capabilities for national shipping. "

How long can you keep the items for?

"The rental periods are in weeklong increments, from one week all the way through five! This is great for if you want to try out an investment piece for an extended period, or if you're heading on a trip."

What are the price ranges for the items avail for rent?

"The rentals run all the way from $20/week through $500 for our most expensive and coveted item—the Hermés Birkin bag! "

Please share with our audience what makes your procedure different then rent the runway?

"DesignerShare is a completely peer-to-peer marketplace; this means we don't own or hold on to any of the items, resulting in a lower cost solution for all of us. On top of it, you get to be the entrepreneur from your own closet and earn money from home! As we continue to build out the site, we'd like our users to be able to connect with one another directly through messaging and seeing each other's profiles, resulting in a truly uplifting community revolving around style."
